Submitted by Kevin Stube on Sun, 2007-05-13 03:16.

Answer

The total cost will be dependent on many things, but this is a sample budget with prices in Euros. The hotel and SGC fees have not been set yet, but will be kept as low as possible. The number of nights is dependent upon if you stay for the IAC the following week.

Flight to Glasgow 1000
SGC Fee approx 330
8 Hotel nights 240
Food for 8 days 96
Souvenirs 100
Total 1766

Please note that depending on where you fly from, your flight might cost more or less.

You may want to buy gifts from Scotland to take home for friends and family, this is your choice.

Are there scholarships available for delegates?

Answer

There are a limited number of scholarships available. They will be announced at the beginning of June and how to apply for them.

We strongly encourage each individual to seek funding on your own from your University/employer, community, and family. Every five euros can go a long way.

I can't afford to come to SGC. What should I do?

Submitted by sanjoy on Sat, 2007-01-27 22:26.

Answer

If you are convinced that SGC is worth coming to, your first task should be to share that reason with someone who can help you come, and convince them that it is worthwhile for them to support them. Share your dream and vision with you local community club, local government, and nearby universities. Ask you local space companies for support and tell them how you will make a positive change to their industry. If your desire is real, so will be their desire to help you.

Remember, they can only say no and that doesn't hurt. And, if you are lucky, they might even say yes!

Limited Scholarships are available.
